Networking Events
Since the early 2000s, Professor Agnew has been involved in organizing networking events to bring together alumni of all ages working and interested in finance. Eventually, they expanded to Singapore, San Francisco, LA, Connecticut and Charlotte. The first annual networking nights were held in venues across NYC in December. Over time, this occasion moved to the summer to allow students working in internships to attend. Based on a suggestion by an alumni, the event moved to the water and the 'Boehly Boat Cruise' set sail.
From DoG Street to Wall Street
Dr. Agnew and Mary Schilling of the Cohen Career Center helped students organize this annual program in 2007. Dr. Agnew assisted as the faculty lead for many years. DoG Street to Wall Street brings a large number of alumni to Williamsburg to meet with students and share their experiences working in finance.

Women's Leadership Summit and Stock Pitch Competition
NOW The Bianca Caragliano Stock Pitch
During Dr. Agnew's time as the Director of the Boehly Center, she initiated and was the co-faculty lead with Professor Katherine Guthrie of the school's first Women's Leadership Summit and Stock Pitch Competition in 2016. Boehly Center Fellow Abby Doski and Kristyn Allred deserve all the credit for working tirelessly with a leadership team of exceptional students, faculty and staff to organize and execute the first program. Their hard work lives on in the event that is still hosted today.

Over time the competition has evolved and gotten better every year. See the video to the left showing the journey of three teams from around the world competing in the 2018 competition.
